International Day of Education
Today, January 24, is International Day of Education, and is under the theme of “to invest in people and prioritize education”.
I Saved A Life strongly believes that education can transform the lives of refugees and disadvantaged families by helping them to break out of the cyclical struggle for survival and reach self-sufficiency.
Our Almsgiving pilot project stands in solidarity with UNESCO’s 2023 theme and, with the compassionate action of our donors, we aim to provide educational support to children with badly needed resources in schools, and with adult training courses.
What’s more, in cooperation with the Dept. of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration, this year we have funded the “Gomo Tulku Scholarship” project, which will help 9 Tibetan refugee students pursue higher studies.
